Woo! $8 slice of pie here I come, right after my $4.50 cupcake!
(But their pies are...
Been meaning to try their Caramel Apple Crumb pie for awhile. This will definitely make...
I thought they said there would be a lot of pigs here, but there are horses too?
OMG their SMOG and Baltimore Bomb pies are ridiculously delicious!
Happy Birthday (to you)!
Fly me to the moon (In other words) by Bart Howard
Do I get a discount if I show up sportin’ some butt back?
That’s easy.
Stayin’ Alive by the bee gees.
I believe it is the single greatest groove ever written and perfectly deserving of its iconic status. And when i’m listening to music it’s the groove that hooks me and pulls me in. That’s why i’ll be at FatbackDC regardless of any free tix, but a freebie would be sweet too.
Very few songs have the power to change the world. Stayin’ Alive is one of them.
My favorite song right now is “Tears of a Clown.” Incidentally, one of the Fatback DJ’s did a totally kickass remix of Tears of a Clown at a show a couple summers ago, and I have always wanted to hear it again!
In honor of Bristol & Levi’s pending nuptials, I’ll say “Love Child” by Diana Ross and the Supremes.
Shaaaaaaame keep it in your pants kids.
I’m gonna go with Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings. A little overexposed, sure, but poignant nonetheless.
Jackson 5, I Want You Back. Put that on any time, anywhere.
LENTO SOSTENUTO TRANQUILLO MA CANTABILE – Henryk Gorecki
Funkadelic — (Not Just) Knee Deep
Gets me every time.
Curtis Mayfield – Move on Up. CLASSIC.
Sexual healing!
Michael Jackson – Billie Jean
No woman no cry
let me ride, dr dre
Toots and the Maytals – Pressure Drop
Burt Bachrach’s “Walk On By” as performed by Isaac Hayes. Why wouldn’t you dig on Black Moses doin’ some lounge tunes…
The Word-Junkyard Band
“Reagan makin’ bombs with all the money these days…”
Im bringing some Out of Towners from NYC to enjoy the fatback scene! SO Pumped!!
Sunday Kind of Love – Etta James
nina simone’s version of “sinnerman”
Man in the Mirror — Make that chaaange!
Ain’t that peculiar – Marvin Gaye
Hello by Lionel Richie.
Talking Heads – This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) (the live version from Stop Making Sense, not the Speaking In Tongues album version).
I Gotcha – Joe Tex
That girl is poison – BBD
“Piece of My Heart” – Janis Joplin – that girl had some serious soul.
“I’m Coming Out” Diana Ross…..you know it’s a good song when even the sample of it (“Mo Money Mo Problems”) makes for a tight track
