Don’t trust Fusion!
I bought said groupon, and went there (Fusion) about 2 weeks after for their weekly $25 brunch (bottomless mimosas ftw). We let them know as we walked in that we had the groupon, however when it came time to pay they said “sorry, the groupon does not apply with other discounts, such as brunch. Well, a weekly policy didn’t seem like a special, and we had scoured the fine print for anything that might seem like we would be SOL, and could find nothing.
Management was unwavering, and we felt really ripped off (the brunch was just OK…not worth $25 ea). Everybody else in the restaurant also had groupons, and there was almost a mini uprising. One couple hadn’t started eating yet, so they just left once they saw what was happening.
Point being, don’t be surprised if they don’t honor the groupon on similar “deals” such as their “happy hour.”

Columbia heights cleanup seems like a good thing though!
The Fusion website clearly says – and has for weeks – that Groupon will not be accepted for brunch. Do your research.
Does Barry mean he is extending the groupon expiration until September 28th, or is that a typo? The expiration date on it is September 8th.
Love Fusion. So glad it is in the neighborhood. Looking forward to stopping for a happy hour!
We love Fusion too and are happy it is in our hood! I had a nice $4 mojito for the happy hour, very refreshing and strong!
We have yet to have a bad meal there, the food is always delicious!
Thanks for the reminder on the Groupon Barry.
Barry, we love the food and appreciate all you do to bring good food to the neighborhood.
A group of neighbors on Irving and Kenyon Streets near Georgia Avenue are also participating in the clean up. If others in the area are interested, please come out and join us! We are starting around 10:30 am on the 400 block of Irving
