Thanks to an eagle eyed reader for sending the news. Rogue States was recently forced to close in Dupont because of the burger fumes war at 1300 Connecticut Ave, NW.
The Moneyblog is now reporting that they will be moving to 14th and U St, NW in what looks like the vacant space to the right of the DTLR shop. They write:
“The owner of Rogue States Burgers has already signed a lease for a new location. As he admitted under oath, the business of Rogue States Burgers will be moving to 1931 14th St. NW.”
Wow, huge news. Don’t know how I missed this but Dupont’s loss will be U Street’s gain!

They sell gyros so I already know exactly how bad this pizza is going to be.
I'm so glad you posted this - I hadn't thought to donate to the rebuilding. I just...
Sometimes you learn the hard way that trading your Kindle for a pumpkin is stupid.
looks like a good space. i wonder why people open businesses like this and don't succeed.
The no-turn-on-red right turns on Logan are completely ridiculous.
Ooooh yes. I want to go to there. Now if only we could put the kibosh on the hot dog place across the street and get something nicer…
Kibosh on a chicago-style hot dog and Italian beef sandwich joint? That has some serious potential. Snooty, are we?

Seriously… damned for not having hot dog places and damned for having hot dog places.
Ya know, I’m always surprised that that restaurants that do wood-fired ovens, or similar ovens arent required to have some minimal exhaust controls.
Why don’t you go investigate that.
Please open a second location in the old Les Halles spot…please? It’s been vacant for nearly a year and half.
Or alternatively, how about nominating that vacant restaurant spot for a horse’s ass award?
Damn…Just when I was trying to go vegan. Don’t torture me!!!
I bet Desperados investors were not too psyched about this development
Thank you Steptoe & Johnson, big law firms, good for something after all.
I think they intended to open this spot as a second location prior to the legal mess at the Conn Ave location.
What does this mean for the former Garden District spot? First it was going to be a crepe place, but a crepe place openned across the street. Then it was going to be a burger place, but this burger joint is coming just a few blocks down. Last i heard there was some zoning issue at that spot so it looks like it will be vacant a little longer.
Wine bar with small plates of course! /snark
