From a press release:
“November is National Peanut Butter Lovers’ month, a time to celebrate one of America’s favorite foods. This official month-long celebration inspired LINCOLN’s Executive Chef Demetrio Zavala to add three items to the menu that include peanut butter.
Since Peanut Butter is one of those foods that seem to strike a particular comfort food cord with most people, Zavala created three delicious courses with a soup, savory dish, and a dessert to celebrate peanut butter.
The three menu items include:
• Peanut Soup with Sautéed Shallots, Tomato and fresh chive
• Bourbon Marinated All Natural New York Strip with a Peanut Butter
Parsnip Purée, Caramel Apple Jalapeno Butter
• Peanut Butter Applewood Bacon Waffle with Grape Jelly MousseThe Peanut Butter items will be available at LINCOLN for the entire month of November.
LINCOLN Restaurant is located at 1110 Vermont Avenue, NW”

They sell gyros so I already know exactly how bad this pizza is going to be.
I'm so glad you posted this - I hadn't thought to donate to the rebuilding. I just...
Sometimes you learn the hard way that trading your Kindle for a pumpkin is stupid.
looks like a good space. i wonder why people open businesses like this and don't succeed.
The no-turn-on-red right turns on Logan are completely ridiculous.
I hope you are getting paid to post this.
you do notice that he advertises on this blog right?
Hahaha, I wish. I hope y’all know I would never get paid for a post without making a declaration like “sponsored post” or something like that. This is not the case here. But I’m happy to post stuff like this because lots of folks love LINCOLN and lots of folks love peanut butter so this was a no brainer for me.
99% of us know.
I LOVE peanut butter. LOVE it. Planned to name my first son George Washington Carver.
And yet, I did not know November was Peanut Butter Lover’s month (hangs head in shame).
So Lincoln or not, thank you, PoP. I’m educated AND entertained.
Their brunch is amazing – went for the first time last Sunday. The DJ’s loungy tunes mixed well with the bottomless mimosas.
whew! At first I thought you were talking about Lincoln’s Waffle Shop and I thought “wait, when did these guys step up to an ‘executive chef?’”

What if I have a peanut allergy?! I’m just not allowed to go there? Call Eric Holder. Call Occupy DC!!
it’s your call, of course. but random downtown restaurants’ press releases are not what I’m turning to PoP to learn about.
also, surprised that people love Lincoln. It’s on par with Josephine and the like and that doesn’t seem to be the crowd interested in PoP.
The site isn’t always about you Eric
I’m not saying it’s about me at all, Dan, of course not. Just giving my opinion. It’s your show of course.
Never hesitate to email me directly with concerns. I’d prefer if the comments focused on the post and not the administration of the site. Cheers.
there can only be so many Door of the Day posts.
I love peanut soup!
I love peanut butter! (I call my daughter peanut butter head!) I’m so going to this place.
Peanut soup sounds scary, but I’d definitely go fora steak with peanut sauce, just much bigger than that one! Hah.
Peanut soup is really really really delicious.
