Back in Dec. ’11 we took an early look at Boundary Road coming to 414 H St, NE. I stopped back earlier this week to see how they were progressing:

Awesome! While we already got a sneak peek of their food menu I’m psyched to now be able to give a sneak peek of their beverage menu:

Like the dining menu, the beverage menu will also be changing with the seasons. How does this one sound?
If all goes well they should be opening very soon. I’ll update with an exact date when it’s announced. In the meantime, after the jump, you can see a few more photos of how the space is looking.

They sell gyros so I already know exactly how bad this pizza is going to be.
I'm so glad you posted this - I hadn't thought to donate to the rebuilding. I just...
Sometimes you learn the hard way that trading your Kindle for a pumpkin is stupid.
looks like a good space. i wonder why people open businesses like this and don't succeed.
The no-turn-on-red right turns on Logan are completely ridiculous.
Looks nice, but I’ll bet you’ll go deaf there on a Saturday night.
Damn, I know it’s 5 block from Gallaudet, but that’s a little harsh.
Agreed – actually, I bet any night.
Some day, restaurant designers will realize that some people like to be able to hear themselves think. Or maybe even be able to have a conversation while eating and drinking.
Actually, this is a mime bar. Sometimes you really can’t tell from the name. Remember that so you don’t walk in to find you’re the only person not trapped in a box.
I’ll go there just to order a “I’m Thinking About Getting a Vespa.”
I can’t decide between that and “I’m Thinking About Growing a Mustache” or “I’m Thinking About Wearing a Scarf with my T-shirt on a 78 Degree Day.”
Tip of the hat to you, my sir (or gal).
I can’t wait to go on a weeknight (I think monkeyrotica is correct about the weekend noise) – this place looks great. All I’m thinking is, ‘please make a good gin martini, please make a good gin martini.’
Founders on draft. This place looks full of win.
Other than the Ikea furniture and bar stools that seem to be mandated for every place opened after 2010.
While the chairs and stools are standard issue for hip, brooklyn wannabe bars right now, they are not from Ikea.
I’m very excited. It looks nice and both the food and drink menus look promising.
anyone else see a resemblance to Boundary Stone?
Yup. They look EXACTLY the same on the inside.
Boundary Stone…..Boundary Road….is there any connection?
No relation to Boundary Stone.
this looks nothing like Boundary Stone with the exception of a bar and barstools. that’s about it. colour palette maybe, but…… nah.

When does it open?
Still one final inspection pending. Likely open in the next week.
Food and drink menus look great! I hope they do a good spell-check on their menus though…of course while errors wouldn’t prevent me from going or enjoying, having correct spelling is just one of those things that makes a business seem professional.
Sometimes I feel like I should start freelancing on menu edits.
OK, I’ll bite. What is spelled incorrectly on these menus?
What stuck out to me was “Uraguay” and “Berkley, CA”
That was sort of a blanket statement (and not just referring to Chinese take-out places). It’s not a huge deal, it’s just a pet peeve of mine.
Also interesting that they put an ulmlaut on spatzle (not sure the keyboard command for umlaut) on the food menu, but neglected it on Gruner on the wine list.
That’s extremely picky, I know, but my boyfriend is Austrian, so I’ve come to notice these things.
…and I’ve angered the spelling gods. Umlaut, not ulmlaut. I repent for being so picky!
Oh, I see. You’re referring to the found menu, which is obviously marked as a draft.
Oops, “food,” not “found.” I’m sure you got that, but I wouldn’t want to offend you with any typing errors.
sorrrrrrry. I was just expressing a hope that they proofread. Sorry that offends you.
I always wanted to get a job correcting the English used in asian video games.
all your base are belong to us
Every place is starting to look exactly the same (inside and out)…and apparently even the names are sounding the same too. Once this dead horse is beaten, what bandwagon do we all jump on next…any thoughts?
moonshine joints with hay bale benches.
is this place a relation of boundary stone in bloomingdale (ie same ownership)?
Nope. They are owned by different people. No relation between the two, unfortunately they have similar names.
i like the bedspring chandelier. was that the one exhibited at Submerge this past summer?
I am 90% pretty sure that was done by James @ Corehaus in Petworth.
