Shawafel Lebanese Cuisine Launching a Food Truck in June

Shawafel is one by far one of the best cheap eats in the city. Personally I think the Shish Taouk is one of my favorite meals in the city. Their website says:

Shawarma and Falafel quick served restaurant, the name comes from the two words combined “Shawafel”.

We will be serving chicken, lamb and beef mixed Shawarma; the traditional Lebanese way which is made from scratch with my family’s secret sauce. All our meat will be bought from local farmers, cutting it, marinating it and then skewered on the vertical spit. Same goes for the chicken shawarma. We will be serving spreads such as: hummus and baba ghanoug. For salad options, we will have Tabouleh and Fattouch as served in Lebanon.

Shawafel opened up at 1322 H St, NE back in Aug. 2011. For those that don’t live near H Street – you are in luck – I spoke to the owner on Saturday afternoon who said he will be launching a food truck to be called @Shawafel in June. You can see their menu here.

Awesome news.

That means Well-Paid Maids is now offering weekend cleanings! The goal is to make your life as easy as possible. If your weekday schedule is too hectic or you work from home, this is for you!
