1351 H St, NE to become a “joint venture between the creators of DURKL and Toki Underground” Called Maketto

From popularise:

The concept will be based around an inviting market place environment spearheaded by collaboration between the creators of DURKL and Toki Underground; combining both fashion and food, while at the same time giving local vendors an opportunity to market and sell their products.

We believe that H Street is ready for something new and different. A space that will operate both day and night, during the week and on weekends, providing an offering as diverse as the neighborhood itself. We think of it like a new age Eastern Market. We are excited about the potential possibilities for this project, and look forward to further developing the concept with the input and support of our future customers.

Maketto is a collaborative creative enterprise conceived to bring a curated fashion and culinary boutique to the Atlas District. Inspired by international markets and worldwide street culture, Maketto will offer several unique retail experiences ranging from fine dining to more casual gourmet snacks and cocktails bar side, to various food stalls that will feature delicacies inspired by Asian night markets including Chinese donuts, Shanghai steamed dumplings, barbeque pork buns, and even on-site roasted, first-class coffee. Patrons may create their own culinary itineraries while indulging in limited edition fashions from DURKL and a handful of other curated brands as well as special release sneakers.

Two Local Visionaries, One New Retail Collaboration

In May of 2012, two great local operators, Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground and Will Sharp of DURKL, signed a lease for Maketto, a groundbreaking joint venture that will forever change the DC retail experience. The new collaborative destination will offer one-of-a-kind shopping and dining come early 2013.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
