D’Vines Finally Opens in Columbia Heights!

D’Vines located at 3103 14th Street across the street from DC USA has at long last opened its doors to thirsty. Thanks to the good folks at the Heights Life for sending the tip. I had a chance to speak with store manager, Pat Hayes. Pat explained that this is the soft opening (as you can probably tell from the bare shelves) and the grand opening will be May 1st. The store will exclusively stock wine and beer (but no liquor) so it can stay open 7 days a week. It is great news that it will be open from noon – 10pm every day! No more rolling to dinner parties with Manischewitz blackberry wine for me! The store will stock wine from $8 and up. Happily Pat and his staff will advise those wishing to know which wines go with which meals and all that other good advice. After I left the store I could not stop singing “For the Lord God Omnipotent, reigneth, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!”. More photos after the jump.

A patron browses.

Lots of good beer choices too.

Notice the cool sign above the rack giving the wine’s country of origin.

My new best friend, D’Vines manager, Pat Hayes.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
